The Most Beautiful Thing You’ve Seen Today

This one began as a photograph of my backyard and evolved into a digital painting.

I am really in love with this maple tree, and I like to imagine that if it could talk it would say it loved me, too, hehe. This spring I’ve been noticing so much beauty around!

What is the most beautiful thing you’ve seen today?

  1. Jade, these are glorious colors! Wow, I cannot even imagine how GORGEOUS it must be where you live!I think the Sandia mountains are always beautiful here in ABQ. I am also loving the abundant green trees here. It's so new to me!

  2. Thanks Erika πŸ™‚ I should mention though, it's an artful picture, meaning that I edited the colors to make it look more like a painting, so they are much more gentle and subdued in person. It is so fun to see the seasons changing in a new landscape. So glad to hear you're enjoying your new place. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  3. Just beautiful! I like how you edited it…feels like I could be there. πŸ™‚ This evening on campus was pretty beautiful. The light turned gold as the sun got lower, which brightened up the brick buildings and green trees. It got so peaceful as people were leaving, it started to feel like a different place. πŸ™‚

  4. I love this picture, you've brought the tree to life! Amazing colours…The most beautiful thing today was watching the changing colours on the ocean as clouds swept above it, and feeling the energy of the sea as I walked along the edge of the beach. I felt connected to something bigger than myself as I watched the sunlight scatter dancing light on the waves. I'm really lucky to live close to the sea πŸ™‚
