Poetry Reading of a Favorite Poet, "Modern Declaration"

I have read the poem, “Modern Declaration” by Edna St. Vincent Millay today. I was happy to learn some months ago that she was born a few days after me (well, a century before in 1892) and so is a Pisces too, and had lived in New York and New England like me, order of places switched. She was born in New England (Maine) and then moved to New York City, later lived upstate New York. Scholars have considered she might’ve had bipolar disorder, or depression, she was openly bisexual which wasn’t too common at that time, and she was the first woman to receive the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry (I just learned that last fact yesterday.)
Before the poetry reading, I spilled tea on myself that has now dried perfectly and which actually went along well with the ending of my previous post today, “Scent, Touch, Taste, Spirit.”

Wonderful tea spill 🙂
