My Garden Mishap

I thought I’d learned that composting meant leaving bits of vegetables and produce, like the hard part of the sugar snap pea pods, in the soil in the pots of the plants—just break it up and drop it in.

But I didn’t have the scientific thought come in time that maybe the plant can’t just break these down. And then just after that I also repotted them in organic, nutrient-rich soil. All of that can be a little traumatic for the plants.

So maybe no more strawberries for now. 😔

Fairies like fruits, you should know, especially early in the morning and after yoga, and I am learning more now, and hopefully in a little time, there’ll be some fresh new strawberries on some triumphant plants.
