Mid-morning after we woke, Peeko was napping contentedly on the bed at sunrise.

Here he was lounging just across from my living room chair facing where I would sit a few moments before I did (and where he doesnβt usually sit) and I knelt to take this photo of him at eye level before I sat, ready for tea. He takes pride in his caretakingβ¦and the photo, like a Catholic prayer card come to life on the blog.

Not So Fast
Could these be the jasmine Iβve been looking to come across outdoors? Not too far from this restful, positive cafe Iβd shared on the blog in previous posts with the many old books towering high.

β¦And they arenβt. But we journey on with reference photos received thankfully, maybe better luck next time.
A Ladder Wouldnβt Do, But These Do
I liked looking at these books, which are way too high for me to reach even with my ladder, and if they were within my reach and I wouldnβt wish to read them, I would still like to see them, the highest books piled up care-freely by the ceiling.

Anniversary Portraits

Dan and I took anniversary photos on the balcony to celebrate 10 years married this past Friday.
When we came in from the balcony, Peeko was sitting like a fine gentleman with folded paws having witnessed the photo shoot of us through the glass door.
I asked Dan if he wanted to take a portait of Peeko as I got ready to leave for dinnerβ¦and here Peekoβs like, βWho do you think youβre snapping, fool? Did I ask you for a picture?β And wasnβt fully impressed with that Paparazzo!
