Pocket Sketches from the Field

I packed a small bag and sketched in my pocket sketchbook at La Salette shrine and retreat center yesterday evening.

I learned about sketching, everything is practice, find shade first in the field for comfort if hot, pick something and don’t worry about variety for sharing with others after, sketch what you’d like at the time, repetition can teach well, and maybe plan to sketch just one thing or see one sketch as satisfactory for the trip, to conserve energy and focus most closely on drawing that subject..I found those tips afterwards for next time:

Fuzzy little winding weeds
I think this is a daffodil
