You might have read last week that my painting, “In Rhythm” was selected to be shown at the Morini Gallery, Juried Art Exhibition for Abstractions at the Mass Arts Center from March through April.
I just received another notice today that if any painting by any artist at that show sells and a spot opens up, another one of my paintings was selected to be part of the queue to go up for sale at that same show, and that one is my (20 x 24) painting, “Mountain Peak,” a (recent) abstract painting I’d completed on December 22, ‘22! (You can view my paintings on the blog top menu.)
I used a thin wooden bamboo comb as a tool (an idea I came up with) and some gold paint too.
There will also be an Artist Reception Night at Mass Arts Center on March 4th, ‘23!

Congratulations! Wow, that is just wonderful, Jade.
About the toxic supplies: that is scary. Sometimes I get lazy and am not careful to get every little spot of paint or other supply off my arms. I still have scabs from one such misstep. .

Thank you Luanne!
Yes I am glad I researched a little; I’d be the type to drink the paint-water cup if not aware!
I know the feeling 🙂 I will be more careful in general.
That is also why I specifically use a wide jar for my paint water as opposed to my water glass.:) and so have 2 very different cups 😀

I use an old mug for a water glass, but I never put a cup of tea near my art table, so I’m ok so far heh.
