connecting with his inner lion 🦁, “Keep calm and carry on.”—😽Peeko
The literary salon begins, that is, Miss May’s salon at home. I learn a new fun phrasing…place the phone away when not using it in a place, as if it is now naptime for the baby phone, and easy to take a break quickly and find the phone again. This is a nice way to not blame the phone itself for me being exhausted or not taking screen breaks.
And this baby loves napping at the salon seated close to Mama. We opened with a poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay that was read on her birthday. Peeko is part Maine Coon. And also listened to a poem I’d recorded. Then I read my English translation of a poem by May Ziadeh in appreciation of nature.

I wrote a few more passages for my novel, choosing to form it actively rather than an outline for me personally. I am at around 20 pages written, and it feels like a blend of fantasy and realism.
It is now snowing beautifully seen through the windows, soft, fluffy snowflakes falling like gentle confetti.
I had an idea for a third object in my still life painting in progress. I have a book I’d found coming in the mail today that I’ve wanted to read for years!
I have a couple on my shelf that are more serious fiction I am glad to read at another time. Yoga tonight. But now I want to watch the snow. Tea is ready. ☕️☕️☕️☕️🫖💕❄️😊—Jade
