The local Book Club meeting was a lot of fun last night!
Start my day unwound…
I began reading the Book Club’s book for the meeting, The Summer of Sunshine and Margot by Susan Mallory when I was home from meeting last night, and then I will read the next book Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson for April.
I was wrong about this book’s opening from reading the back cover, I really like it so far. Such funny characterization as shown below. A good prompt is to consider your own fiction in progress and see if your characters feel very real or like you can imagine and know them well.
This one features an “etiquette coach” named Margot.
I continue reading the book today in the morning sunshine.

“Tell me. Can I be fixed?…”

👻s…Yes! 😊
I am also reading the poetry book Field Work by poet Seamus Heaney, the book I left another copy of at the North Common free library cabinet when I accidentally ordered two copies. I have read only the opening poem so far, but I plan to read some more today.🍀📚🍀
