About

Welcome to Blush of Dawn. I’m Jade, a writer and painter, and author of two poetry books, Moonflower (2018) and A Little Honey Sweetens The Flame (2021). View my poetry books.

*Art: I love to draw and paint. I am painting toward my next Art Show at The Gallery in Foxboro, MA, full weekend, Jun. 2 – 4th, 2023!

*Writing: I am writing my first draft of my first novel: Current word count: 3568 words.

Like a newspaper-radio show, this blog tells of my little everyday adventures with books and art, antique and from our time, as recommendations for the reader and creative prompts for the writer, and is mostly illustrated with my own photos.

I also write about wellness and relaxation, like planning a day, simple design for a comforting, inspiring place to create, work and live, for artists and anyone.

A Few Beginnings

I was born in Brooklyn, New York where I earned a degree in English Literature with a focus on Creative Writing and Philosophy at Brooklyn College.

I am mostly human and very mythical too.

I am certified to teach yoga, which along with meditation I’ve practiced for many years. Yoga self-portraits may sometimes appear on the blog as photography or accompany creative writing. 1. Thank you Tom! for your congrats 😀 There’d been uncertainty awhile, but for me the most important thing was writing (or creating), and following what felt meaningful: wanting to share somehow and enjoying books in general myself.

  2. Well done on getting your work officially published! 🙂 It’s a long anxious road until you tie the knot on your finished book, but so worth it in the end 🫂
